According to a study by Statista and Business Punk, XOM Materials is one of the startups with the highest employer attractiveness.

An independent joint study by Statista, the leading provider of market and consumer data, and the business magazine Business Punk, analyzed 2500 German startups and identified the top startup employers in 2021.

Criteria for the most attractive employers

The most attractive employers were identified on the basis of three evaluation criteria: Firstly, the reputation as an employer in online channels - i.e. the popularity and reach of articles and postings. Secondly, a survey among young professionals was carried out on the topics of strategy, culture, career, values, application and benefits. Lastly, key figures such as employee growth, average years with the company, growth of website traffic and the number of job offers were used for the evaluation. The detailed methodology can be found in the current issue of Business Punk (Article in German).

Top ranking in cross-industry comparison

For a better overview, the startups have been divided into industries. With a score of 92.14, XOM Materials achieved 13th place in the industry “Business Products & Software”. The highest overall score achieved by a startup is 96.35. In a cross-industry comparison, XOM Materials leaves well-known startups such as Blinkist, JustSpices or Gymondo behind.

We are very proud of this award. It is the result of our teamwork over the last years and shows that we can achieve great things – not just as an employer, but as a company in general.

Working in startups - more attractive than ever

The current Business Punk issue also discusses what makes working in a startup so attractive and why many graduates and young professionals prefer a startup to a corporate career. This includes, for example, flat hierarchies and the ability to take on responsibility quickly.
"Working at eye level and opportunities for development are important building blocks of the corporate culture at XOM Materials, as well as family-friendliness and flexibility," says Roksana Lichte.
